• Do not shake the bottle.

• Use at night after cleansing your skin at the first sign of a blemish or on existing imperfections.

• Dip a clean cotton swab into the sediment at the bottom and apply only the pink sediment to the blemish. DO NOT RUB.

• Allow the applied product to dry and rinse off in the morning.

• If dryness or irritation occurs, reduce the frequency of use.

• DO NOT use it on damaged skin or if your skin is sensitive to any of the components. Note: DO NOT re-dip the same cotton swab into the bottle. Use the other end of the swab to avoid contaminating the remaining product with bacteria.

Patch Test:

When adding new products to your skincare routine, we always recommend performing a patch test. Apply a small amount of the product to clean, dry skin behind the ear or on the inner arm. Wait at least 24 hours to see if any irritation occurs. If you notice any irritation such as redness, itching, or burning, rinse off and discontinue use. Please note that the reaction may take up to 72 hours to appear.

Introduce new products slowly and one at a time, so that you can easily identify any sources of irritation.

• If the product is accidentally shaken, will it be okay?

Yes! If your product is accidentally shaken, simply set it upright and allow the pink sediment to resettle. It may take some time to return to its normal state, but no more than a day.

• How long can I leave it on? Can I wash it off after a few hours or do I have to sleep with it?

This product should be used according to its usage instructions. Specifically, use it at night after cleansing. Apply a thin, even layer directly onto the blemish. Let it dry. Rinse off the following morning. However, if you're at home during the day, you can apply it for a few hours and then rinse off before heading out.

• Can you use this after applying a Retinol product?

Yes! Acne responds well to retinol, as retinol increases skin cell turnover, which can be beneficial for clearing pores. Combining Retinol with our SOS Clay Mask is an excellent combination. Apply your Retinol product first and follow with SOS Clay Mask.

• Why do the instructions say not to shake SOS Clay Mask?

The SOS Clay Mask acne treatment has a pink layer containing the sediment of active ingredients and a transparent layer consisting mainly of alcohol for disinfection and preservation purposes. When the bottle is shaken, the two layers mix. If applied to the skin when mixed, it dilutes the content of active sediments and increases the amount of alcohol applied to the skin, which can cause dryness, redness, flaking, and other forms of irritation.

• Should I moisturize in addition to using SOS Clay Mask? If so, should I moisturize before or after using SOS Clay Mask?

Yes! Hydration is essential for ALL skin types, including acne-prone skin types. When your skin is not receiving enough moisture, it begins to overproduce oil. This can be problematic for oily and combination skin. It is important to moisturize the skin daily to help prevent excessive oil production that can lead to acne. If you are concerned about overloading your oily skin, you can try our Water Gel, which was clinically formulated for oily, combination, and acne-prone skin. The SOS Clay Mask acne treatment is a spot treatment and should be applied to the lesion directly before any moisturizing product. After applying SOS Clay Mask, you can apply Water Gel or a moisturizer of your choice to the rest of your face, avoiding the site where the pink sediment was applied.

• How long does it take to see results?
